What we have learned cutting, sorting and shipping natural stone — written down.
Advice from the people who cut the stone
Most tile advice online is written by people who have never seen a block cut. Ours is not. Tuqco runs its own factory, so these guides come from what we handle every day — how a tumbled edge wears differently from a honed one, why two sheets of the same marble can read as different colours, and what a realistic lead time looks like when stone is made to order rather than picked off a pallet.
They are written for the UK. Our working stock sits in Hailsham, the sizes are metric, and the lead times quoted are the ones we actually work to.
