Carrara White - Silver Shadow Polished Marble Flower Mosaic Tiles

The flower belongs to the same family of curved-cut mosaics as the fan, but it works on a different principle. A fan is built from overlapping arcs and reads as a directional field that points somewhere. A rosette is radial and closes on itself, so each unit is complete and the pattern reads as a repeating motif rather than as a flow. That suits a bounded area better than a large open expanse: a panel, a border, a floor inlay, an alcove, where the repetition stays deliberate instead of becoming insistent.

The two stones sit close in tone. Carrara's milky white and Silver Shadow's warm dove grey are only a step or two apart, so the petals emerge gently and the geometry stays soft. This is the quiet version of the pattern; a black accent would turn the same layout into something far more graphic.

Polishing pulls the veining forward in both stones and puts a highlight on every curved face, so the petals catch light at slightly different angles and the rosettes gain a little relief they do not physically possess. Both stones are calcitic: neutral cleaners, and keep acids well away.
