Carrara White Honed White Marble Wall & Floor Tiles

Carrara's grey is genuinely neutral. It leans neither warm nor cool, which means it sits beside brass and oak as comfortably as beside chrome and cool paint, and a scheme built around it can change direction later without the stone objecting. Most other marbles commit: Emperador is warm, Nimbus Cloud is cool, Calacatta Sugar is gold. Carrara stays out of the argument, and that is why it outlasts fashion cycles that see off more distinctive stones.

The veining also works at the scale of this format. Grey drift crosses a large tile as a whole passage and carries on from one tile into the next, so a wall or a floor accumulates movement rather than showing fragments of it, which is the opposite of what the same stone does cut into a small mosaic.

Honing gives a level matte face that holds the vein colour true and reflects evenly. It is unforgiving of a poorly prepared substrate, so lay flat and prime properly. Carrara is calcium carbonate: acids etch it into a dull mark that no sealer prevents, and a neutral cleaner is the only safe one.
